Description: Acoustic design project for the Library of the Faculty of Law at the University of Coimbra, in partnership with GOP. The building results from the rehabilitation, adaptation and expansion of the Palácio dos Melos, formerly home to the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Casa dos Contadores, both part of the ensemble classified as a National Monument and UNESCO World Heritage Site - University of Coimbra - Alta and Sofia. With a total construction area of 7,798 square meters distributed over five floors, the new library will house more than 400,000 works and is expected to welcome around 380 users per day.
