Description: Located in the Largo São Domingos, in the old part of Porto, The Largo hotel was born from the unification of five existing rehabilitated and expanded buildings. Taking into account the high acoustic comfort requirements requested by the client, InAcoustics developed an auralization experience using numerical modelling during the design phase. This technique allowed the definition of criteria to be carried out alongside the client, who was then able to make an informed decision about the desired sound insulation criteria, by listening to the expected future result. During the Technical Assistance phase of the work, comprehensive in-situ noise measurements with an acoustic camera were carried out to verify compliance with the design criteria, for detailed analysis of noise transmission paths.
